Jean Seidel Wallace

Jean (Seidel) Wallace was born February 28, 1960 in Ames and grew up in Ames. In 1981, she graduated from ISU with a B. S. in Chemical Engineering. She earned an MSE in Industrial Engineering from the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies (WVCOGS) in 1989).

Jean married Greg Wallace in 1983. The Wallaces live in St. Albans, WV with their daughter, Sarah.

After graduation from ISU, Jean started her career with Union Carbide in South Charleston, WV. She has worked in research and development, environmental protection, quality control, and process improvement. She has described her work at a national conference of the American Society for Quality Control (ASOC). In addition to her work for Union Carbide she teaches an evening course in industrial engineering for WVCOGS.

Jean is a registered Professional Engineer, a certified Quality Engineer, and is active in the local section of ASQC. She also enjoys reading, stamp collecting and sewing.
