Cara Blum (Stilley) has spent the great majority of her life in central Iowa. She graduated from Waukee High School in 2000 and from Iowa State University with a Psychology degree in 2004. Following her time at Iowa State, she spent two years at Mercy College where she completed her sonography degree. She spent 13 years as an ultrasound technician for Unity Point at both the hospital and clinical levels. Cara currently works for Unity Point in their IT department assisting clinics and hospitals with the intricacies of electronic charting.
Cara married Scott Blum in 2005. Together they have three boys; Ethan (2002), Taylor (2010), and Carson (2012). We are honoring Cara as a hero in our life as she is quite simply the greatest person we know. She is the rock of our family and is the most unselfish person. Cara is such a positive role model. She is kind, selfless, hard working, generous, caring, passionate, and full of humility and grace. The highest praise we can bestow on Cara is this - your life is better because she is in your life. Cara is an AMAZING mother, wife, daughter, aunt, sister, and friend.
