I am honoring my mother. Her sacrifice and dedication kept me well throughout my childhood. She didn’t listen to doctors who told her that I would die because of my cystic fibrosis. I am able to have a happy, complete life today because my mom didn’t believe the doctors and took careful care of me. She stayed at home until I was in high school. Since my sister was diagnosed with diabetes, Mom has committed herself to keeping Jenny healthy. Our mom continues to worry about us even as we grow up and move away. She has been there through all my hospitalizations and problems. She believes in me and has always been a source of encouragement in my life. I owe her so much more than I can ever express. All I can say is - "Thank you, Mom. I love you!"
