Clara Irene Seaton

Clara I. Seaton was born in the United States of Norwegian immigrant parents in Wisconsin. Norwegian was her first language. She learned English when she started grade school. Being raised in a Norwegian dominated community in Wisconsin, she has maintained a strong interest in Norwegian traditions and culture. She married in August 1954, and has been an exemplary wife, and the mother of two sons - Gregory and Jeffrey. In addition to family involvement, Clara was employed at three banks and a medical clinic as well as by the Atomic Energy Commission. She speaks, reads, and writes Norwegian, and has served as a translator on numerous occasions. She has been an active and productive citizen of her community and has represented womanhood in its finest essence.
