Gloria S. Terrill

Gloria S. Terrill is the widow of Wallace A. Terrill, Sr. and the mother of W. Andrew Terrill, John C. Terrill, and Paul H. Terrill. Throughout her life Gloria has always placed her family's needs in the forefront of her concerns, and she provided a warm and loving home for her husband and children. Gloria encouraged her children in school, and two of her sons received university education’s. One received a Ph.D. in international relations. Two of Gloria’s sons also served in the United States military. Her son John served as an Air Force officer in the Strategic Air Command, while Andrew served as an intelligence officer with the US Army during a time of war.

Gloria has been a tireless worker throughout her life. While raising small children she also found time to work with a variety of community and parents' groups and to type books for the blind on a Braille typewriter. Later she accepted a job as a secretary with the Covina Valley School District where she put in long hours of demanding work in the service of education. When her husband fell ill with a variety of ailments including heart trouble, a stroke, and diabetes, Gloria helped care for him until the end of his life.

Gloria is looking forward to retirement in several years and plans to become involved with volunteer programs at that time. The greatest joys in Gloria’s life are her family and she also dearly loves her animals which at present include two dogs and one cat. All of Gloria’s children remember the joys of growing up in a house filled with love.
