Jessie was a strong, even-tempered mother and grandmother. She should be honored just for maintaining her wonderful sense of humor through the toughest of economic times, renting rooms to college students and working in the kitchen at the Memorial Union.
Born August 5 1874 in Villisca, IA. Died October 12, 1963 in Ames, IA. Grew up in Villisca. Married 3 children. Wife of General Secretary of the Campus YMCA at Iowa State. Homemaker. Charter Member of Book and Basket Book Club in Ames.
