Lynn Marjean Williams Kerdus was born January 18, 1952, to Norman and Helen Marjorie Williams of Mechanicsville, Iowa. She has three brothers and two sisters. Lynn graduated from Lincoln of Stanwood High School in 1970 and went on to attend Iowa State University, where she became a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.

I met Lynn at ISU in the spring of my senior year 1971. For me it was love at first sight. We dated through the spring and summer, then due to the draft lottery I went off to Army basic training. Once it was determined I was staying stateside in Indianapolis, Lynn and I decided to get married on June 24, 1972. While in Indiana, Lynn completed her degree in sociology at the city campus of Indiana University.

Since then Lynn has been my partner and helpmate as my career moves took us from Indianapolis to Dallas, from Dallas to Ames, and finally from Ames to Cedar Rapids. Lynn has been a fabulous mother and teacher to our two daughters, Laura and Jenna. Laura was born in Ames, March 15, 1978, and is currently a senior at Kennedy High School. She is a very active young lady involved in both volleyball and golf. Laura was nominated to the National Youth Leadership Council and will graduate in the top 10% of her class. Her pride and joy is her horse, Beau. Laura is planning on following in her parents footsteps in attending ISU next fall. Jenna was born in Cedar Rapids on September 30, 1981. She is an 8th grader and plays four sports plus trumpet in band. Jenna is in the Talented and Gifted program at her middle school. I attribute the success my daughters have had in their young lives to the nurturing and love Lynn has given them during their formative years.

Lynn was a "stay at home" mom until Jenna started school. In her years at home with the girlsm she helped me out in my business plus finding time to be the volunteer coordinator for our daughter's elementary school. Lynn started working part-time at Firstar Bank here in town five years ago. Then this past summer she moved to a Firstar branch bank in northeast Cedar Rapids, where she is now full-time as a teller.

I honor Lynn because she has been the best wife, mother, friend, helpmate, etc. that any husband and family could have. I am truly honored to have spent 23 years of my life with her---and plan on spending many, many more years with her.
