Mary Rose Main is National Executive Director of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., the largest voluntary organization for girls in the world. She plays a leading role in meeting the needs and interests of American girls.

A native of Moravia, Iowa, Mary Rose holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and completed management programs at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and the Boston University Human Relations Center.

Ms. Main has been awarded honorary Doctorate of Human Letters from her alma mater, Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, and from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.

As she continues her career devoted to girls and women, she serves as a member of the board of directors of the National Assembly and the National Collaboration for Youth and is a member of the National Advisory board of America’s Disability Channel.

An outstanding woman from Iowa, she works for the future of women throughout the world.
