Mary Sullivan Bell

Mary spent her childhood and lower school years in Ottumwa, IA. An active duty Naval officers wife who lived in numerous states and England (1945-1968). Mother of a son and two daughters. Many volunteer positions during children's formative years. Member of Stanford University and Wembley Park (England) symphony orchestras. Masters degree San Jose State College 1961. A teacher in elementary schools in Maryland, California, and Hawaii. A specialist in mathematics and science - a resource teacher in both fields. The first woman employed as an Outdoor Education Specialist in Montgomery Co. schools MD. Served in this capacity for nine years. Taught a total of 30 years. Now retired as an active volunteer with five organizations in Honolulu.
