Sarah has many connections to Iowa State University. She is an alumna (B.S. Industrial Administration 1981 and M.B.A. 1995). She has held three positions with ISU: Instructor, College of Business; Manager, International Trade Services Office of International Affairs; Director of Development College of Education and Planned Giving Officer ISU Foundation.

I believe in the importance of the work she does. Fund raising is important to building a university. Sarah is an active community volunteer and leader. Some examples of her activities are: Trustee and Auxilian Mary Greeley Medical Center; Altrusa International; Ames Chamber of Commerce Committees; Story County Heart Association Board; Iowa Games; Midnight Madness.

Sarah participates in professional organizations: Iowa Society for Hospital Marketing and Public Relations (she has held many offices including President and served on committees); American Society for Hospital Marketing and Public Relations (regional council and national coordinator); National Association for Hospital Development; Council for the Advancement and Support of Education; Midwest Education Advancement Network; National Council on Planned Giving; Mid-Iowa Planned Giving Council.

I am proud of Sarah's accomplishments and thankful that I share her busy life with her. Even though she is very busy, Sarah shows how much she cares about her family and friends in many ways.
