Marty McHone is an individual that anyone whom she comes into contact with is proud to call friend. Marty is a very giving person always with open arms open home & most importantly: an open heart. Although she has encountered various trials & tribulations in her life Marty has always maintained the dignity & grace that you would wish to see in your mother sister daughter grandmother friend etc. or even yourself. She always seems to continue to strive to befriend all students & staff of the university and non-university individuals that may contact her in person or via phone.

Marty has been a proven asset to the Campus Organizations Auditor/Accounting office. During the last two years February 94 thru November 95 she has been the "Foundation" that kept the office running as smoothly (and efficiently) as possible. Although these statements may not fully describe Marty's attributes and contributions she is one of the most deserving women that I know.

A summary of her many qualities includes: she is respected by multitudes, is brimming with heart & soul, has a wonderful personality, is humble, has a terrific sense of humor, always has a smile for everyone, is loved by all & is the epitome of a true friend. As her youngest daughter has informed her on occasion "Marty is no saint" but if I could pattern my life after anyone I chose Marty McHone would be on the top ten of my list.

Marty lives in Squaw Valley between Ames & Gilbert. She has been married to Larry McHone for 22 years. They own Mchone Seeds. They have three children: Nick & his wife Jill live in Wisconsin,  Shannon & her husband Hans live in Illinois, and Molly lives at home.
