Marjorie Mae Lane (nee Hitchler) was born September 2, 1920, near the small town of Metz, Iowa, to E. John & Merle M. Hitchler (nee Anthony). On January 19, 1941, she married Philip D. Lane, to which three children were born.
Mom has overcome many obstacles in her life with grace and dignity. She never wants to “get back” at anyone who did her wrong. She never gossips about people or speaks unkindly of anyone. She has worked hard all her life and never complained. She loves us unconditionally.
Mom, we admire you for your fortitude and gentleness and for the example you have given us to live by; we honor you on your 95th birthday because you are our heroine.
