Myrt Hanson

After 36 years of dedicated service in Extension, Myrt Hanson retired from Iowa State University in January 2010. She has been working in Extension Administration on campus for six years. Prior to transferring to campus in May 2001, she served long-term in the North Central Area Extension Office in Mason City as office manager and secretary to the North Central Area Extension Director.  She worked closely with area field specialists and county staff in the area and had key responsibility for in-service training and coordination of activities for County Office Assistants.
 
Myrt has a strong art/history/geography background and an avid interest in international activities.  She will complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Iowa State University May 2010.
 
Myrt and her husband Gene have a home in Clear Lake, where they are visited frequently by her children and grandchildren.
