My mom just passed away from a year long battle with ALS. She graduated from ISU in 1978, was an accountant in Ames for over 20 years, supported her husband who worked for ISU in the athletic department, and both of her daughters and sons-in-laws went to Iowa State University. My mom always instilled in us how important education was - she would always say "get a degree--no one can ever take that from you." She loved ISU, and it would be an honor to see her name on campus to honor her memory.
