Kathleen Shaver

Interacting with students and assisting them both in and out of the classroom were Kathy's favorite elements in each position during her career. She served students as an academic adviser in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences from 1990 until her retirement in 1998 (concluding 24 years as an ISU employee). Kathy taught in lowa junior/senior high schools for ten years and directed the career center and PE0 Hall at Cottey College for two years. She graduated with a BA degree from UNI in 1951 and with MS degrees from ISU in 1974 and 1987. Kathy and her late husband Chuck (ISU, BS, 1956) are parents of Sally (ISU, BS, 1986), Mary (ISU, BS, 1987), David (ISU, BS, 1990) and Charles (Dallas, Baptist University, BA, 1994).
