The woman I am honoring is my Mother. I was always proud of her because she was an outstanding woman in academia. She served as Assistant Dean of Women at the University of Wisconsin- Madison then was Dean of Women at the University of South Dakota- Vermillion. She married E.W. Lindstrom here in Ames who was head of the Genetics Department and Vice-Dean of the Graduate School. Mother was one of the early members of the League of Women Voters of Ames and was the first President of Crawford School's PTA. She has three children. She was active in academic and community affairs.
