Amy (Nelson) Rogers

We are proud to honor our friend AMY ROGERS through the Plaza of Heroines. This is a tribute to a cherised friend who lived her life to the fullest.  We will miss her, for she touched our lives in immeasurable ways. We will always love and remember her as a dear friend.

As a result of a car accident, Amy died on February 17, 2011, at the age of 39.

Amy was born June 5, 1971, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to George and Sandy (Ekern) Nelson. She was a graduate of Memorial High School in 1989 and University of Wisconsin - Stout in 1993. She was married to Marc Rogers on June 11, 1994, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. They were blessed with two children, Cole and Alli. Amy was a very warm, fun, loving person and a dedicated mother.

Amy joined Iowa State University in 2002 and began her ISU career in the College of Agriculture. She moved on to work in the Graduate College as a budget analyst. Amy loved Iowa State University and had many friends that made up her ISU family.

We miss her dearly.
