Anne Stanbery Hogben is a wonderful loving giving person. She has made the world a better place in many ways. One of her major contributions has been to her family. She has been a wonderful wife to Adrian Hogben. She has been an outstanding mother to Leslie Hogben Hunacek and Lynn Hogben. As they grew up she was always there. Her house was the house all the neighborhood children played at. She was a Camp Fire leader room mother etc.

She is a very warm loving person. If you were to design a perfect mother you could take Anne Stanbery Hogben as a model. She is the model Leslie tries to use in raising her daughter Adrienne. Anne Stanbery Hogben is also a wonderful grandmother to Adrienne. She does whatever Adrienne wants. She takes her to the beach near their house she plays pretend play with her in the basement she plays cards and reads her stories. She never yells at Adrienne. Anne Stanbery Hogben has also made contributions to our country and the various communities she has lived in. During the 1960's she was active in the political process through the Democratic party. She was an alternate delegate to both the 1964 and 1968 Democratic National Conventions. She was active in the anti-war movement in Iowa in the 1960's and 70's. Although she graduated from college and worked briefly before her daughters were born Anne Stanbery Hogben gave up working to stay home with her children. After her daughters were grown she went back to school and earned a Masters degree in Mathematics. She developed a self-paced remedial mathematics course and ran a program at the University of Iowa to assist students who had difficulty with math. She also taught remedial mathematics at Husson College in Bangor Maine after moving to Trenton Maine where she currently lives.

Anne Stanbery Hogben has been very active in recent years in local government in Trenton. She is a member of the Trenton Planning Board the Hancock County Planning Board and the Acadia National Park Advisory Board. She also served as a volunteer senior companion to an elderly woman. Anne Stanbery Hogben also has great strength of character and is a person of great moral integrity.
