Barbara Jean Brown Sharp graduated with honors in 1963, majoring in Child Development--Elementary Education. She was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Omicron Nu, Phi Kappa Phi, Beacons, and Tomahawk honoraries. Both of her parents were Iowa State alumni. They are Loren D. Brown (A.H. '32) and Dorothy Geiger Brown (H. Ec. Ed. '36). Her husband, Dale R. Sharp (E. E.'64) and daughters, Rochelle M. Sharp (M. E. '89) and Stacy Sharp Loux (Eng. '91), are also alumni of Iowa State University.
