Beverly Jean Harriott

Beverly Jean Harriott died on February 7, 2008 after a long battle with heart disease. She was 75. Beverly was born on April 28, 1932 to Walter E and Frieda C Grohe in Storm Lake, Iowa. She attended Iowa State University majoring in Home Economics and English Literature. Bev married Don M Harriott in 1954. Bev and her family lived in Helena Mt from 1970 to the time of her passing.

She and her husband Don spent several years in Washington D.C. and in recent years split their time between homes in Helena and Seattle, Wa. Bev worked at the Montana Historical Society in Helena and while in Washinton D.C. worked for the Smithsonian Institution doing historical research for public inquiries. Beverly's primary parental goal of seeing her three sons graduate from college was realized. Bev was preceded in death by her son John (1994) and by her daughter-in-law Gretchen (2007).as well as her parents. She is survived by her husband Don, sons Jeffrey B (Michele) and James A also her daughter-in-law Debbie and grandchildren Johnna, Nicholas, Noa and Anina all of Seattle Wa. and two brothers Gordon Nona) of Aurelia, Ia and Ronald (Glenna) of Des Moines, Ia along with two nieces and three nephews. A memorial service was held on February 19 2008 at Plymouth Congregational Church in Helena Mt.
