Carolyn Walker Anderson graduated from the College of Education in July of 1970. While at ISU, she participated in Dress Blues, Student Properties Board, Campus 4-H, and Sigma Kappa Sorority. She married and began teaching at Wilton Junction Junior High shortly after graduation.

After two years of teaching, she resigned to help her husband farm and raise their family. Barry and Carolyn are the parents of three sons: Duston, Kirk, and Clinton. Farming was difficult in the 80's, so Carolyn returned to the teaching profession.

She received a Masters of Arts degree from Teikyo Marycrest University while being employed full time. Since that time, she has made many contributions to the field of education.
