Cindy Dee came to Iowa State looking for a fresh start after a year and a half at another university. Within the first two months in Ames, she found not only a college to call home, but a man to start a family with. Cindy graduated in August of 1986 with a degree in Family Financial Planning. After graduation, she and her new husband Scott (Aerospace Engineering '85) embarked on the journey of serving their country as a Navy family. With various positions ranging from financial aid work to early childhood education administration, Cindy remained an advocate for young children and their education. Throughout the years, Cindy raised her two children to be tried and true Cyclones. Kelsey graduated in December 2012 with a degree in English Education, and Kevin is slated to graduate in May 2016 with a degree in Athletic Training. As a member of the Iowa State Parents' Association, Cindy has participated in the planning of various events on campus and always looks for ways to help spread the Cyclone Spirit. She and Scott can be seen at all the home football and basketball games, and their tailgating spot is always open to family and friends coming to cheer on the Cyclones (and maybe even a son-in-law who cheers for the team on the other side of the state). Cindy represents unconditional love to her family and will always have an unconditional love for the school that opened so many doors for her.
