Claire Elizabeth Shaver was born April 8, 2002. Claire is the daughter of Dave Shaver (ISU, BS, 1990) and Judy Seivert Shaver (UNI, BA, 1987). The family lives in Montrose, Colorado where Judy teaches elementary children with special needs and Dave is founder and president of NeoTool, a software development and consulting company.
Claire's ISU heritage includes grandmother Kathleen Shaver (MS, 1974, 1987); grandfather, the late Charles Shaver (BS, 1956); aunts Sally Shaver (BS, 1986) and Mary Shaver Walter (BS, 1987); uncle Joss Walter (BS, 1992); cousins Dwight Crevelt (BS, 1979) Deborah Goering Sinclair, (BS, 1983) Brian Sinclair (BS, 1984) Dennis Goering (BS, 1986) Dustin Shaver (BS, 1996) and Trisha Brown (BS, 2002); and great uncle Don Goering (Ph.D., 1979).
