Cynthia Loy Longnecker graduated from Iowa State University in 1964 with a degree in Elementary Education. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and continues to meet yearly with her Pi Phi sisters. Cindy had a teaching career in elementary schools and pre-schools in Rockford, IL and San Diego, CA. Cindy and Dan retired to central Iowa where they indulge in Cyclone fandom and where Cindy continues her lifelong volunteering, helping children, furthering her own education, and fighting for noble causes. She has been a fun, strong, kind inspiration to her numerous students and their parents, and especially to her three children and five grandchildren, who honor her with this brick on Christmas 2017.
