Cynthia Williams Lindaman was born on December 20, 1950. in Marshalltown, Iowa. The daughter of Dallas and Darlene Williams, she grew up on a Hardin County farm and attended New Providence Community School from kindergarten through twelfth grade, graduating in 1969. She continued her education at Iowa State University and graduated in 1973 with a degree in Elementary Education.
Cynthia married Howard Lindaman (Vet. Med, ISU '71) on July 29, 1972. They have two children: Brent, born in 1975, and Laura, born in 1979. The Lindamans reside on a small farm near Albia, Iowa. Howard is a partner in the Albia Animal Clinic and Cynthia teaches fourth grade at Melrose Elementary of Albia Community Schools. They are currently active in farming, church, and school activities.
