My Grandmother brought me to Ames as an infant to raise me, when my mother, her daughter-in-law, died. In addition, she ran a rooming and boarding house for college students for years. (She lived in Ames from about 1917-1973 when she died) She was a strong woman who deserves to be remembered. Her love and advice helped me many times. I still miss her every day.
