Our mom is the rock of our family—she’s the one we go to for advice…when we’re sick…for anything. Between her and Dad, we have the best support system anyone could ever ask for. Mom is very caring, unselfish and gives more of herself than you could believe.

There has never been a time Mom wasn’t there for us. From notes in our homemade lunches when we were in school to quick texts of support and encouragement, we’re always reminded of her love.

We have learned so much from our mom: how to cook, what a loving marriage looks like, the joy of giving back…the list goes on and on. We can always count on our Mom—she gives the best advice, even if it’s hard to hear.

Mom has taught us to always bring out the positive in any situation—no matter what life throws at us. A prime example of this is when, a few years ago, Mom received a very rare diagnosis that provided more questions than answers. It has left our family struggling to figure out what is happening and why it is happening to our mom. Through countless tests and endless doctor’s appointments, Mom has kept an amazingly positive attitude. Her faith and will are so strong, she doesn’t doubt God’s plan for a minute—if anything, this journey has strengthened her relationship with Him.

Growing up, we had our disagreements with Mom, but always knew she was an amazing woman. More recently, though, we began to realize just how much time, energy and love Mom put into our family—and how much she has given up to support us in everything we do. Our parents go above and beyond to show us how much we are cared for and loved—for this, we are eternally grateful.

Our mom is a strong, beautiful woman and an excellent role model. We are thankful for her guidance, and know we wouldn’t be where we are today without her. She is truly a heroine.
