B.S. ISU 1970 in Applied Art and Gen. Crafts.

Dee has for many years had a close association with Iowa State University. She grew up in Ames and after a brief teaching career following graduation joined the staff of the Parks Library. Dee has been, since college, an active member of Musica Antiqua a group of University Musicians sponsored by the Iowa Arts Council. She is indebted to the staff of the ISU Music Department for encouraging her music activities.

Dee was a piano and organ student at the University continuously from second grade through college. Through her direction of five handbell choirs in her church she has been a positive influence on the lives of many young people. Dee had been a member of the Chancel Choir of her church and serves as substitute church organist. Her list of activities include managing the softball team for her church.

We her parents take pride in her accomplishments and take pleasure in placing her name among the heroines being honored through the ISU Plaza.
