Following graduation in 1959 in Home Ec. Ed., Diana and I were married. She taught school for several years, and after we moved to Iowa City in 1967 she went on for her Master's in weaving at the University of Iowa. She become a very accomplished artist and weaver, producing a large volume of creative work in both clothing and textile art. Many of her woven pieces were purchased for display in private buildings and in public buildings through the Iowa Art in Public Places program. She was exhibited in a number of shows in the Midwest and was active in Iowa Designer Craftsman and other arts groups. Diana died in January of 1987 of breast cancer. She was 50. As a tribute to her at her funeral, over 20 women wore something that she had created for them.
