My grandmother Dorothy Lovig is the finest role model, a modern woman, could hope for. In my grandmother's world men and women live and work together equally. She was an active equal farming partner to my grandfather. She has always been a strong independent and assertive participant in her marriage life and community. I am lucky to have been reared in constant contact with my grandmother. Her unconditional support and caring made my younger years carefree and combined with the love and support of my parents forms the rock of security that allows me to risk new adventures as an adult. Thank you Grandma.
