Edith E. Landin, CPS, worked as an Administrative Specialist in the Statistics Department at Iowa State University for 21 years (1989 - 2010). Before coming to Statistics, she worked for the Ames Laboratory as a secretary for almost 15 years, first with Dr. Frank H. Spedding and finally as Secretary to the Director, Dr. Robert Hansen. One unusual thing in this modern day and time, in every job she has filled, Edith has used her shorthand skills. She worked a total of 36 years at ISU.
Edith joined Ames Chapter in February 1982 and received her Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) designation that same year. She has served the chapter as President, President-elect, Vice President, and Secretary.
