Eileen is a caring and energetic lady who has been serving the public her whole life. Raised in Colo, she married and moved to California, returning to Iowa after the death of her first husband. She continued her profession as an audiologist at McFarland Clinic until her retirement. Not one to sit and be idle, she is also a psychologist/graphologist and counsels clients from her home. In addition, she has written numerous articles for psychology magazines.

As a certified graphologist, she is the author of the "Who Are You" column, which has appeared in the Ames Tribune and currently is featured in the Boone and Story County Shopper. Most recently, she was invited to do the "Dear Eileen" column for the Nevada Journal. During her career she has been a guest speaker for organizations throughout the state of Iowa. By pen word and deed, Eileen encourages people to focus on the positive, have compassion for others, and to take advantage of opportunities now and in the future.

It is with honor and pleasure I submit Eileen’s name to be a part of the Plaza of Heroines.
