"It is hard to say how thankful I am to you for my life my values and my happiness. However we honor you as a heroine because of your courage to fight for life and for your positive spirit and your constant determination."
These words were written for Mother's Day in 1994 as a way to honor my mother for her beautiful contributions to the world and for her courageous battle against cancer which she lost on July 9, 1995. She has despite many obstacles continued to make a difference in the lives of so many people. Cancer can take away so many things but it has no power over love. Cancer will never take away the love our family has for each other.
With each round we fight those touched by her life are truly inspired because my mom survives complete with her warmth her sense of humor but most of all her courage to live life fully.
