Betty as everyone called her was a highly principled woman who instilled in her three children the value of family loving relationships strong religious beliefs and a commitment to the community. She felt that everyone should give of themselves to others consequently she was a dedicated volunteer to many community organizations. She particularly helped those with mental problems as she herself had struggled with mental depression and had been successful in overcoming the malady. She accepted all human beings no matter what race, sex or creed. Her standards were high for her children as they were for herself.
She excelled academically at Northwestern University and she expected her Children to equal her and they did. She will always be remembered by me her daughter as a woman of great compassion high ideal and all-encompassing love.
