Mrs. Hopkins is known as the "teacher of teachers" among metaphysicians. An editor of the Christian Science Journal in 1885 she left Christian Science to found her own seminary in Chicago. Among her students were Unity founders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore and Church of Religious Science founder Ernest Holmes.
