Helen Dietz was my mother who passed away in 1989. She was a devoted mother, teacher of 30 plus years of elementary students, civil servant and loving wife.
She positively affected all with whom she came into contact and was a pioneer in raising funds for polio and taught in Illinois as a married woman before it was fashionable/legal to do so. She and my father were married secretly for one year so she could teach. I was/am proud to call her my Mom.
