Julianne H. "Jan" Secor, an Iowa native, has a bachelor of science in mathematics (7-16-66) and a master of science in higher education (8-16-73) from Iowa State University. Jan was a founding member of the Iowa State University National Organization for Women chapter and has held numerous leadership positions in NOW both in Ames and in Washington State. Jan served in the Peace Corps in Guatemala and has continued to work for peace and justice in her personal and professional life. She works in community service in both volunteer and paid capacities, always championing justice and human rights. Among the organizations that have benefited from Jan's generous support and leadership are Open Line, Camp Fire, the YWCA, the Washington Privacy Lobby, the Private Industry Council, and Women of Vision. Jan is a loyal friend a dedicated volunteer, a free spirit, and a good citizen.
