Jeanne L. Negus was born to Art and Ruth (Hughes) Rohwer on May 2, 1930, near Paullina in O'Brien County, Iowa. She graduated from Archer Consolidated School in Archer, Iowa, and attended Iowa State University earning her bachelor's degree in Home Economics Education in 1952. She was married to James O. Negus on June 14, 1952, in Ames, Iowa. They moved to Newton, Iowa, where they raised four children. In 1975, Jeanne received her master's degree in Home Economics from Iowa State University. Jeanne passed away on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012.
Jeanne's creativity, intelligence, boundless energy, kindness, and dedication to teaching, family, and friends was inspirational.
She was a true Cyclone through and through.
