Jennifer Gelwick-Luecke is an Ames attorney known for her liberal activism and feminist support.

Born in Connecticut, raised in California during the 60's, she organized her first protest in Orange, CA, as the family was about to move to Columbia, Missouri. All the neighborhood kids joined her picketing her own house with signs "We won't move."

She followed her husband, Greg, to Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and then to Ames, Iowa, as she worked as a rape advocate, Democratic operative, and attorney.

Jennifer has also nurtured two children, Mirelle and Conrad, and is famous for "always being there when you need her," not just to her immediate family, but also to her mother, father, and brother.
