We wish to honor Joyce, our daughter. She is the wife of Tom Hertz (ISU 66), the mother of two--Jana and Alan--and sister of three brothers--David, Jonathan and James. She is a graduate of Ames High School and of Iowa State University (ISU 67), where she was chosen for Mortar Board. She has a master's degree from Michigan University. She has been active in church, school and community organizations in Ames, serving as president of Ames League of Women Voters and on the Ames City Council from 1990-1994. She is a member of PEO chapter HN and Questers. She chaired the Writing Center at Fellows Elementary School, served as president of Board of Directors for Mainstream Living, as president of Story County Housing and as moderator of Ames United Church of Christ Congregational. She is enthusiastic, always cheerful, has a good sense of humor and gets along well with persons of all ages. She is, we feel, an outstanding and worthy woman.
