Judy helped our three children, David M. 1989, Deborah C. 1988, and Christopher J. 1993, during a nine-year period in which all three attended and graduated from Iowa State University. She filled out financial aid forms. She supported them during their academic years. She helped drive them to and from ISU, helped in each move, and enjoyed every bit of it. I want a brick with her name on it because I feel like she was a good part of their experiences and she earned it.

In the 4 years I attended Iowa State University, Mom helped me in innumerable ways. If not for her, I would not have gone to college and accomplished so much. She did all my administrative work. She helped me when I was ill. She drove back and forth on weekends to let me come home to get a break from school. She continued what she had done in the previous 18 years --- be a great Mom. Most importantly to me, she was (and is) my friend.
