Karen Wick Giles is a dedicated wife and mother. Karen began her higher educational journey at Iowa State University and graduated with her degree in International Studies and French. Karen has worked for government offices, major companies, and local businesses all while being an attentive and supportive mother. Karen raised two daughters, Rachel (Illinois State University ’14) and Danielle (Iowa State University ’17), both of whom followed in their mother’s footsteps and became involved members of Alpha Delta Pi.
Our mother belongs on the Plaza of Heroines because she has sacrificed so much to make us the women that we are today. Mom, words cannot express how grateful we are for your constant support and advice. You’ve always stopped everything to help us and we cannot verbalize how much you mean to us. If we become half of the woman you are, we’ll count ourselves lucky. We love you!
