Kelli returned to Iowa State to receive her Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a field of study in Accounting and Finance in 1997. Also that year, despite her instincts Kelli married Todd McGuire, a Hawkeye fan and University of Iowa alumnus (and eventual Iowa State MBA '99).
In 2000, Kelli started her career with John Deere Financial in Johnston. Since her time with John Deere Financial Kelli distinguished herself by performing multiple accounting and financial positions with increasing responsibility throughout her career. At John Deere Financial Kelli was a key driver in the establishment of the first Wellness Committee and also served as a founding member of John Deere Financial's WomenREACH resource group whose mission is to create an inclusive network that supports the development and enrichment of women by providing leadership, education, networking and community outreach opportunities.
Throughout her professional life, Kelli demonstrates strong leadership, humble confidence and well developed networks. On any team she naturally gravitates to positions of leadership and influence, whether leading or participating, and has earned the respect of her colleagues.
Kelli has volunteered with United Way of Central Iowa to provide financial review and consultation on financial controls of agencies receiving United Way aid. She also serves as on the Board of the Dallas Center-Grimes Education Foundation and is an active member of Lutheran Church of Hope.
Kelli's greatest and lasting achievement has been to be a continual inspiring example to her family of discipline, work ethic, and self-sacrifice by always putting her family before herself. She has raised her children - Jake (ISU '21), Sam, and Tess - to be not only thoughtful, driven, and successful but loyal Cyclone fans as well.
