Aunt: Lilly May Humphrey Pierson graduated from Iowa State College in 1924. When we think of her we remember her lifelong love of learning. She always had several books going and she was knowledgeable in world affairs. She was a farm manager when that was uncommon for women and she understood the world of investing. Most of all we remember her wonderful hospitality to us when we were graduate students. A weekend with Aunt Lilly May and Uncle Merrill was an oasis intellectually, spiritually. and gastronomically.
