Lindsay Diane Nichol Gretz was born in Ames, Iowa August 28, 1970. She is the daughter of ISU graduates Joyce (BS 1963) and Harold "Bud" Nichol (BS 1960 MS 1964). Lindsay spent her childhood in Ames and moved to Sioux City as a sophomore. She graduated from North High School in 1988. She was active in golf 4-H and National Honor Society. She attended Kansas University two years and then transferred to Iowa State. She graduated in 1992 with a BA in History. Both at K.U. and I. S. U. she was active in Alpha Omega Pi sorority. In 1994 she rceived an MA in Library and Information Science from Iowa University. She married John "Jake" Gretz (ISU BS 1992 History) in November 1994. She is currently employed as a professional librarian at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
