A devoted wife and lifetime companion to Austin T. Getz (ISU - Vet. Med. ‘30) and a loving supportive mother and teacher to Margaret, Nancy and Peter. A capable and loyal member of the Iowa League of Women Voters, serving an Iowa State President from 1959 to 1963. Active in Chapter HO-PEO, the Story County Society for Crippled Children and Adults (now the Easter Seal Society), the United Church of Christ-Congregational, and a respected community leader in Ames, Iowa.
