Lynn Rae Zwagerman's brick was purchased to recognize her long association with Iowa State University. Lynn earned a B.A. in English Education in 1975. The university enabled a wife and mother to two small children to acquire a degree through a combination of part-time education and part-time employment.

She worked in the Office of Institutional Research from 1977 to 2001 at which time she eased into retirement through the University's Phased Retirement program. She was instrumental in the annual publication of the Iowa State University Fact Book, which told the University's story through data and graphical presentations. Her home was near the Iowa State Center where she had easy access to the gardens and many cultural, sporting and other events provided by the university. Lynn visited many other campuses as part of her data exchange activities with other universities. She found Iowa State University's central campus to be one of the most beautiful campuses in the U.S.

It is my pleasure to honor her in the Plaza of Heroines on this lovely campus that has been such an integral part of her life.
