Margaret Ann Connolly Kotz was born April 7, 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa to John Connolly Jr. and Ferne O'Malley Connolly. She was raised the fifth of nine children and graduated from Iowa State University in 1945 with a B.S. degree followed by an M.S. degree from Drake University. In 1950 "Peg" married Dr. Richard Kotz and they have two children Richard Kotz Jr. and Margaret Kotz. Although these biographical statistics are about mother they do not characterize her.
The best way to describe mom is that she always thinks of others first.She is generous self-giving and most of all loving. Her legacy is not written on a resume but within the hearts and lives of those whom she has loved.
