Our mother, Marilee Rice, often says she could never have raised girls. Thank goodness we were boys!
Mom always sees the good in life’s challenges. She cares deeply for others and is ever encouraging. She is kind and giving and a friend to all, and her warm smile and good humor brightens every day.
Marilee is a social leader and an emotional rock. She would say she does not belong here with all these truly exceptional women, however, that is exactly why she deserves her own brick among heroines.
We suspect that mom would have done fine raising girls, but we are absolutely certain that no two boys have ever had a finer mother.
