An Iowa State alum herself Marjorie saw her daughter attend I.S.C. as well. As a grandmother of seven she provided emotional and financial support and encouragement to all. Six of the seven attended and/or graduated from Iowa state university. Marjorie is remembered lovingly by her granddaughter, Debra Atkinson.
